Platform100 is a growing think tank of changemakers, a transdisciplinary knowledge network and a community of practice aimed at influencing thinking and practice in the built environment towards the achievement of spatial transformation.
Our vision is to pioneer evidence-based solutions to create liveable, loveable cities for all.
Founded by Prof Amira Osman (Tshwane University of Technology) and Mokena Makeka (Dalberg), Platform100 is an initiative of the SARChI: DST/ NRF/ SACN Research Chair in Spatial Transformation (Positive Change in the Built Environment) held by Prof Amira Osman at TUT.
We aim to
- Foster a transdisciplinary ecosystem of researchers, policy makers, professionals, community organisations and practitioners in the built environment.
- Magnify voices from urban Africa and the global south.
- Change the built environment conversation through research and academic publications.
- Accelerate innovation in the built environment through creative, applied research.
